Raised in rural North Otago Vanessa moved to Dunedin to study at Otago University. After graduating with a BSc (Honours), Vanessa gained experience in HR and Health and Safety roles within the IT, Education and Transport sectors before joining Polson Higgs in June 2022.
Vanessa has backpacked through many countries around the world and has lived in Wellington and Christchurch before returning home to Otago where she lives with her husband and three children overlooking the harbour at Company Bay.
Outside of work Vanessa enjoys watching her children’s sports from the side line, has a large garden that needs regular attention, or escapes town with her family to get out on the lakes, rivers and hills of inland Otago.
