Gayan is a member of the Accounting Solutions team and is involved in preparing annual financial statements and other compliance and management accounting work within the firm. Gayan joined Polson Higgs in January 2022.
Originally from Sri Lanka but now based in Dunedin, Gayan is coming with a background in accounting within the manufacturing industry. Gayan also has years of experience as a farm manager working within the New Zealand dairy sector and nearly four years of experience in New Zealand accounting practice.
Gayan holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Enterprise from the Southern Institute of Technology and is a Certified Business Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL).
Away from work Gayan is married to Madu and has two children Evin and Isali. Gayan loves socialising with his friends and can be found on a cricket ground playing for Carisbrook Cricket Club on a summer Saturday. Gayan is a keen golfer too.
