Course Description

  1. What is performance management? Understanding the Performance Management Process
  2. How to run an effective performance interview
    • Giving and receiving positive feedback
    • Giving feedback for improvement
    • Courageous conversations about performance
    • Requesting a change in behaviour using the DESC model
    • Fine tuning your assertiveness.
This element incorporates use of an instructional video and role playing interview scenarios.
  1. How to write effective SMART objectives
    • Examining each of the SMART components
    • Aligning individual objectives to organisational goals and strategy
    • Objective setting for manual jobs.

This element will include objective writing exercises and review activities for participants.

All participants will receive a resource kit covering the material used in the workshops which can serve as a reference document for them on their return to the business.
