Course Description
This workshop provides the foundation of Business Banking. The goal of this course if to give participants the foundation of business banking with the emphasis on its applications.

Main topics include:

  • A First Time request for bank funding; how to approach a bank.
  • Increasing a Bank Overdraft; what the bank will look for, how to get the right result.
  • Interactive case study: a "hands on" session to illustrate how you, the business owner, can obtain additional finance
This course will give you insight into
  • The current lending environment; why the "new normal" is not just a fad and is here to stay.
  • Bank assessment processes; what they're actually focusing on when making a decision
  • Bank lending criteria; how far will a bank go before the "punch bowl" is taken away?
  • Information requirements; how what you present and how you present influences the bank's decision
  • Business management and governance; what the bank will expect of your day-to-day financial control and decision making if the unexpected happens.
  • Property finance; why "business" lending principles (not just the property's "valuation"!) apply too.
