Botry Zen Appointments

Stephen Higgs and Tim Dunn, both partners in the Dunedin office, were recently appointed as directors to the publicly-listed company Botry-Zen Limited. Stephen has also been appointed Chairman of the board.

Botry-Zen Limited was formed in April 2001 to research, develop and commercialise biological control agents for use in the agriculture and horticulture industry. The first biological control agent to be released commercially is a product called Botry-Zen, specifically developed for the effective control of Botrytis cinerea fungal infection in grapes ("bunch rot"or "grey mould"). The technology was developed through the co-operative efforts of a number of entities, and is the subject of an international patent application.

The company's head office and manufacturing plant are located in Dunedin.

Polson Higgs congratulates Stephen and Tim on this appointment.
