Ashburton based branch of Polson Higgs (1st April)
We are delighted to welcome two audit and assurance new team members to Polson Higgs in the South Island. Experienced local providers, Byron Pearson and Karen Johnston, (formerly Myers Business Solutions Ltd,) will be operating from our new Ashburton branch premises, at 127a Victoria Street.
Christchurch Earthquake Communications (1st April)
Polson Higgs Business Advisors in Christchurch continue to operate successfully from our temporary premises at Harewood Golf Club and in the Styx development.
Earthquake Tax Relief (14th April)
New Tax Relief on Depreciation Measure - On Wednesday the Government released a second set of tax measures in response to the 22 February earthquake. This time they deal mainly with the destruction of buildings and the tax depreciation consequences and cover the following areas:

Financial hardship sufferers may withdraw KiwiSaver funds ( 26 April)
Where a member of a KiwiSaver scheme is suffering or is likely to suffer significant financial hardship they are able to withdraw funds from the scheme before reaching the superannuation qualification age.
