Michael is responsible for the tax division and has been involved in providing specialist tax advice to a wide range of clients since 1992.

His work in the tax area includes providing specialist tax advice to corporates and small to medium sized entities, together with advice to accountants and lawyers. He has also been lecturer and examiner in the stage three taxation paper at the University of Otago, and is involved in authoring and presenting a large number of tax courses.

Michael joined the NZICA National Tax Committee in January 2006, and has been a long-serving member of the Otago Branch of NZICA, becoming branch chair in 2006.

His interests, when time allows, include hunting, scuba diving, mountain biking, skiing and travel.

Michael is firmly based in the South Island where he was educated and completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Otago.
