Brian is an Associate in the tax team in Christchurch and has considerable experience in a wide range of taxation issues.

He provides specialist taxation advice to clients focused on achieving tax efficient business structures and on tax planning opportunities for growing businesses, including corporates, individuals, trusts, partnerships and charitable organisations. He also advises accountants and lawyers on tax issues affecting their clients.

Areas of interest include advising on income tax and GST issues relating to property development and subdivisions, business acquisitions and sales, asset protection, succession planning, international tax planning and management of tax audits and disputes.

Brian, who is a chartered accountant, has previously held roles heading a tax team in public practice and as a senior tax investigator with Inland Revenue.  He is also a regular presenter of tax seminars throughout NZ.

Born and educated in Christchurch, he has a keen interest in family, music, fitness and classic cars.
