Supporting the Family Help Trust

On October 23rd around 200 business leaders attended the prestigious Duncan Cotterill Business Lunch at the Christchurch Convention Centre.

Polson Higgs Christchurch  hosted a table of ten and partners Michael Rondel and Frank Burgess were joined by  manager Debbie Sherratt at the lunch.

The Hon Bill English was the speaker and he gave an update on the economy, inviting questions from the floor.

The fundraising event supported the Family Help Trust, who work hard to prevent child abuse in the community through intensive, long term professional intervention services that are family based and child focused and aim to help parents in high risk categories. Lack of parenting skills has a serious impact on the chances of children achieving their potential in later life.  The Family Help Trust forms a supportive and educational relationship with the family for the crucial first five years of the child’s life.

More information on their programme and success stories is available on http://www.familyhelptrust.org.nz/
