Polson Higgs Social Club

A long standing tradition in our firm is to have “casual Friday” where our staff are encouraged to dress in smart casual clothes on the first Friday of the month.  For this privilege they are asked to make a donation to go to a worthy cause.  The collection and distribution of these funds is organised by our social club.

Some of the organisations that have benefited from our fundraising efforts over the years are: RSPCA Edmond Rice Camps Dunedin Food Banks Women’s Refuge RSA Relay for Life Dunedin Children’s Ward St Johns Kidney Foundation Preventing Violence in the Home Prostate Cancer Chatbus In addition to the above our social club make a monthly donation to the NZ Blind Foundation to sponsor the training of guide dogs. Our very enthusiastic team on the social club get in behind all sorts of good causes and turn their efforts into fun events for the team including a fashion parade and “shave off” in support of Movember, raising significant money and awareness for Prostate Cancer.
